Products Description of Magnesium Carbonate Hydroxide CAS#39409-82-0
Magnesium carbonate hydroxide is a white crystalline material with a monoclinic crystal structure and a relative density of 2.254. It has limited solubility in water but dissolves readily in dilute acids. Upon contact with acids, it undergoes a rapid decomposition reaction accompanied by foaming and the evolution of carbon dioxide. When subjected to heating and calcination, it thermally decomposes to yield magnesium oxide and carbon dioxide.
