Products Description of Sodium Xylene Sulfonate CAS#1300-72-7

Sodium Xylene Sulfonate is supplied as a clear white to pale yellow liquid and is readily soluble in water, making it particularly suitable for water-based formulations. In a 1% water solution, it exhibits a neutral pH of approximately 7.0. At 20°C, its viscosity is around 10 mPa·s, while the kinematic viscosity is approximately 2.7 mm²/s.

Thanks to its multifunctional properties, Sodium Xylene Sulfonate can improve the compatibility and performance of complex formulations. It is used in applications requiring coupling, solubilization, hydrotropy, dispersion, emulsification, detergency enhancement, cloud point control, and viscosity adjustment. The product finds broad application across personal care and household products, including shampoos and dishwashing or general-purpose detergents, as well as dry-cleaning and hard-surface cleaning formulations. It is also used in metal-cleaning products, bactericidal formulations, adhesives, dyes and pigments, electroplating systems, cutting fluids, photographic chemicals, printing inks, textile treatment, leather processing, and various other industrial applications.
